i love reading about all that's going on ... you look so happy holding her, and i love the pic of jer reading to her. i'm glad you are getting closer to coming home. :) and ian will love her as much as seth and luke. :) yipee for a sister in the house!! be safe. hug her for us (and hug jer too :)).

100 Good Wishes Quilt

There is a tradition that is said to originate in Northern China of making a bai jia bei or 100 Good Wishes Quilt for a new baby. I decided I want to make one for Leah...this is where you come in. (Don't worry I have no illusions that I will have this done when we travel. I'm thinking more like awesome 2nd birthday present!)

If you want to participate (please do) you need to send me:

**An 8x8 square of cotton fabric of your choice.

**A 2x2 square of the same fabric mounted on a card (no larger than 4x6). On the card along with the fabric, please include your wish or message for Leah.

I am really excited about this. My craftiness has certainly improved, but I may be enlisting some of my more skilled friends and family when the time comes! Along with the finished patchwork quilt, I will make Leah a special scrapbook that contains all of the corresponding wishes.
